Cand nu bate vantul?

Apara hornul de ploaie, impiedica patrunderea pasarilor sa-si faca cuib iar aspectul decorativ nu este de neglijat. Au fost cazuri cand vantul s-a intensificat cateva ore, suficient pentru a stinge focul in vatra, in acest timp Smoky a evacuat gazele arse sau gazul natural, inainte ca inevitabilul sa se produca.

De ce am nevoie tocmai eu?

Smoky a fost testat la Facultatea de Mecanica Catedra de Termotehnica si Mecanica Fluidelor din Brasov, printr-un studiu denumit: “Determinarea caracteristicilor functionale ale turbinei de vant Smoky”. In urma studierii acestui produs au fost masurate si transpuse in tabele de valori iar apoi in grafice, valori ale debitului de aer aspirat, masuratorile pe un sistem real de evacuare al gazelor arse, au relevat faptul ca la o viteza a vantului de 1,8 m/s (6,48 Km/h) debitul de gaze arse evacuat a fost cu 8% mai mare decat in cazul tirajului natural al hornului. In plus, spatiul dintre palele turbinei este dimensionat astfel incat suprafata de evacuare a turbinei Smoky este mai mare decat suprafata de evacuare a cosului de fum pe care se monteaza.

• Criticul literar Laurentiu Ulici a incetat din viata in urma unei intoxicatii cu monoxid de carbon, in noaptea de miercuri spre joi (15-16 noiembrie.2000). Ulici a fost gasit mort, joi, in jurul orei 9.00, intr-o locuinta din comuna Pârau, judetul Brasov. Alaturi de el a murit si soferul sau.
• Constantin Popescu si Liviu Retezeanu, antrenorul secund, respectiv medicul unei grupe de fotbalisti juniori de la Dinamo, au murit in vila Alina din Busteni, unde se aflau in cantonament. Tragedia a fost provocata de intoxicatia cu monoxid de carbon.
